Children's Mental Health Week

7th February 2025
This week, we’ve been embracing Children’s Mental Health Week, guided by the theme of recognising our emotions and exploring strategies to support our wellbeing.

Across the school, children have been engaging in activities to help them de-stress, feel calm, and reduce anxiety:
  • Robin Class enjoyed mindfulness drawing, using creativity to relax their minds.
  • Woodpeckers explored mindfulness meditation and modelling with clay, finding focus through hands-on activities.
  • Pheasants discussed the importance of looking after themselves physically (through movement and nutrition) and mentally, developing positive habits for life. Developed a daily wellbeing checklist.
As a school, we’re committed to supporting our children’s emotional wellbeing. A huge well done to all our pupils for taking part and learning ways to nurture their minds. Let’s keep the conversation going!
